It's dependant on how your keyboard is built ( and certainly, your two keyboards may be built in the same way ). Some keyboards only allow certain keys to be pressed at the same moment, and thus blocks other keys or makes them invalid.

Some other keyboards allow any key to be pressed at the same moment as any other key.

So it's really just a luck thing.
