I am ready to bet that life does exist in some form and somewhere on other planets. The sheer number of planets and galaxies that exist is a very probable source for speculation of planets which can support life. Its really nearly impossible to estimate the extent and amount of the universe and planets. But I would not bet whether there is intelligent lifeforms like human beings on other planets or not.
And I am sure that life from earth will travel space in future. My theory is that it would be possible to create androids and robots that would be controlled by neurons, so it would be possible to transplant a brain from a human into a robot which will be the new body for the brain, and the brain is the sole personality. Then it would be absolutely possible for that being to travel the space with less complications, than that are experienced by a human body. Many of the functions of brain would be taken over by the CHIPS and advanced software. And the brain would get much more complicated than now. I envision many such Androids travelling space, seeking knowledge and experience for the humanity. If such technology was available today the I would have happily volunteered for it.LOL. But it is going to happen soon.

i like you man, you have a kick a__ imagination...i do believe there is life somewhere in the universe...you never know, they may be way smarter than we are...they could be studying a human right now and laughing about how stupid he or she is....pirate

Already done(more or less)
Neurons of the brain of a "Lampetra fluviatilis", a fish, have been used to drive a robot

I know about that and another one with rat brain neurons used for ruuning robot. But its not yet upto the stage where a live human brain can be transplanted into a working robot. Neither the transplant or the robot body is ready for such an experiment. The case being that the brain being transplanted does not loses its memory. What has been achieved is growing neurons on the chip and interfacing the circuitry. But as I have already said that this is possible very soon. Now the thing to be seen is wether there is such advancement where the brain is encased in suit type structure and that suit could take over any robot body.LOL. The suit would be fully functional within itself giving full mobility and functionality to the brain. Imagine that your brain would be transported to another place, and you can select the body of your choice and color.

For sure it should be possible but I do hope that day never comes
I will be horrified
I am favourable to the research on the staminal cells , of course, but , hey... there is a limit..let's stop before it is too late

It may not yet be practical but eventually its bound to happen this way. It might take another century for this to be practically viable. But surely and steadily the future is going to be this way. It would be an option for strong hearted to adopt this tachnology. Its bound to give many advantages to the takers that only few would deny it. Espically the medically challenged and older people, and to the military and science explorers. The whole scenario might change regarding our thought about human beings and lifeforms.

Just think about it, if this is possible now with the human beings, then what kind of robotics or other substitutes will be invented in near future. An alien race more advanced than our planet might being using much advanced things-materials yet to be invented by our scientists. So the future is full of speculation. Anything is possible, which the last century has proved enough. There have been mind bogling inventions till date and yet many undeclared that a few years ago were seemingly impossible to even imagine.

So yes, human race is bound to spread into the universe in very near future and it would be just matter of time when it comes accross other lifeforms and habitated planets. Whether those lifeforms are intelligent enough or not, has to be seen. But the assumption of many that we are being visited and watched by others is highly sceptical.

Just curious, but how did they keep it alive?

well I dont know the details but I dont think it is a serious issue
Same as you keep the organs for transplant, I suppose
However the aim of the experiment was to prove that artifical and natural networks are alike
Actually it was a vehicle rather than a robot
The lanpreta neurons received signals from the sensors and transmited signals to the actuators
The vehicle moved in a room avoiding obstacles

I see, well I was just curious as you can't keep it alive for very long I think. I'm not at all an expert on this though.

not only water, where is water there is more of course, a microbe or anything, water = life generator, and coments colliding with mars brings minerals and other coupounds that can bring life to tiny level.
