is firmware hacking required for LTE?
Unfortunately yes, it is. However, ALL homebrew requires FW upgrade/downgrade (whatever you feel like calling it).
PSP LUA -> custom FW
LTE -> custom FW
emulators (scummVM,snes,nes,n64,gba,psone etc etc) -> custom FW
but dont worry, custom FW doesnt mean you have to play custom games
you can still play them. me for instance doesnt download games, however bacause im using the fat PSP, i do dump all the originals i have to my memory stick, because that loads much much much faster then UMD
it's got a lot of upsides to running custom firmware, but i think i proved my point...
just get one! trust me, you wont be disappointed!! im sure as hell aint with my 3 psp's
