Ok Blitz3D is really stagnating for me recently, so im thinking of getting into the gamestudio world by purchase... however i have a few questions (and hope this is the right place to post them):
1) If i buy GS A7, will i be able to use updated engines in the future? (Such as A8 and A9)?
2) How long does an incarnation tend to last? Obviously there doesnt seem to be any ETA on a new version so im guessing it's got some life left in it.
3) Does anyone have any examples of really visually spectacular programs that have been created with A7... The ones i've seen so far look a little plain, and my speciality is in creating visually stunning (as far as has been possible in Blitz3D) scenes.
Currently i am leaning towards the lower end of the scale such as lite-c full. But would be prepared to pay extra if current users think it would best suit my needs.
I will really be looking for something with skill at handling high sprite counts, lots of detail and lots of physics objects. Programs i would specialise in would fall more under simulation than game.
