hi,
i have imported model as FBX from Maya. (used FBX2006)
and when i view it in wed / engine preview most of the polygon faces are flipped.
here is the screen shot : http://i34.tinypic.com/16jil8k.jpg

how can i fix that ?
its hard to select each face manually and flip it back !
i tried to import med also. same problem.

please help me. eek

Reset transformations before exporting.

Make sure it's a "closed mesh" (I'm having the same problems), make sure to XForm it (if you're using MAX) and try importing into MED using a different format like .ASE hope that helps.

HI

THe problem i get is not just normals flipping, but the mesh unwelding, giving a flat faced look. Ive tried every format, differnt types of export etc

Very frustrating

its working fine for me now.
i used maya to model & export it.
and used a simple shader with CullMode = None; and it works very well now.
