Gamestudio setups are thoroughly checked and won't contain something that's bad for you.
if there were adware in Gamestudio it had to be intentionally implemented by us. stop flaming, little kid.

I will simply resolve this problem by posting to the rest of the gaming community the Spyware Doctor with Anti-Virus logs and explain the situation and the responses from their support (which says it isn't there, and jcl says it is and that it is necessary). We will let the worldwide web community of Game Developers decide for themselves. I personally am sick of arguing and will end all participation on these forums. They do seem to be counter-productive. To have people curse at you and tell you to F* off and this is allowed by the moderators. It seems the moderators have the same opinion as the rest of the company and it's users and that is to F* off. I will say one thing to Conitec. If I had known of this in advance I would not have bought this product. I wouldn't have paid so much money for the Pro version and the extra licenses. I am considering it to be a real waste of money right now. I promise to never purchase anything related to 3DGS ever again.

Problem is I used all those and you need to re-read jcl's response. He admitted that they did it. And did McAfee or AVG found the same thing in the uninstal.exe? You have to re-read jcls post, he said that their software doas not contain anything like this. Besides that, watch your language, there's no better chance of becoming banned than personal insultings against other members here...

What the heck. Whats happening in here?
Alright, so, let me try to summarize, may I?
- ATOMIX found out that his Spywaretool, "SpyWare Doctor" detects part of the Gamestudio-files as infected with Adware.Rabio, and informs us about it. - Other users check with other tools and find out that apart from "Spyware doctor", no other scan detects said malware, thus it is assumed to be a false positive - jcl steps in and informs us that there is, in fact, nothing malicious in the code, and adds with his usual cynism that if it were, we'd find out on the forecast/beta-page - ATOMIX finds out that apparently, other services (Kaspersky) detect malicious code as well - Michael totally misses the point, but at least he is swearing while doing so - Kiyaku adds to the discussion that maybe ATOMIX is using warez, which is known to occasionally include malicious code. Given that his point is actually making a lot of sense, it is then completely ignored.
So... in summary, I really wish I had spent the time reading this doing something else, like repeatedly smashing my head against broken glass.
In seriousness: ATOMIX, I can certainly understand your concerns and I can see where you're coming from. It also is completely right of you not to install something when you get a virus-alert. Please understand that other users without said alert may thus assume that its a false positive, and the only way to be sure is by sending the file in - but since YOU are the one who got the alert, you are the one who has to do this. For all we know, maybe you're system is infected by who-knows-what and that is causing trouble. If, however, you do have a sneaking suspicion as to why this is happening, for example because your A7-version comes from certain shady places, then well, there's your answer. If you aren't using something like that, you really should just send the file in to Spywaredoctor.
Also: Double posts make me sad, triple posts cause physical pain, and anything more than that is known to kill random people who are doing something good for the world. So far, you've killed too many of them, just because you ignored the edit-button. ARE YOU PROUD OF THIS.
Perhaps this post will get me points for originality at least.
Check out Dungeon Deities! It's amazing and will make you happy, successful and almost certainly more attractive! It might be true!

Well senior expert asshole ditto girly man!!!!
Given the point that I did insult you, you could have proven better of yourself by not doing the same. Portico - W.I.P. The 3DGS Nerd Blog When you can't run, you crawl. And when you can't crawl, you find someone to carry you.
Dream as if you'll life forever, life as if you'll die today. Sounds appropriate to your responses. Wanna rumble. I dont get your point...? --- Anyway. Kid, and I say Kid because I seriousely doubt that you are over the age of 18 *OR* that you are mentally over the age of 18, in either case: READ
LISTEN
UNDERSTAND
REPEATFirst off, you got a totally reasonable and the exact answer to the problem that anyone else is going to give you, even your adored and prayed-to team of Spyware Doctor, or whatever your software was called. It's the packing/encryption algorythm included in 3DGS for certain things which by CHANCE is also just the same that some stupid cracker used in his virus which again is in the database of your loved program. The program detects that pattern in 3DGS and tells you it's a virus. Infact it's not. Thats what is called a "false-positive". Go ahead, take out your dictionary and/or encyclopedia and look it up. Alternatively you can also use the miracles of the internet to look it up in Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_positivedont be scared, wikipedia doesnt contain any kind of spyware, even if there is an article about it, mentioning the word several times. Also you prove yourself unable to understand a good joke by our JCL. So, get up, take your diapers off and grow up for once. - Michael totally misses the point, but at least he is swearing while doing so Not really, just giving my honest opinion about the kind of people who like to "blah blah" but don't listen to anything. Mostly comparable to extremist christians.
