hi, im a bit confused,. if your going to develop a game, do you still need to have complet package of SED, WED and MED? or SED and WED will do?. Is Lite-C can develop a game or do i need to purchase A7 engine? thanx much..

SED is the Lite-C editor. You can get that for free.

WED is level editor. U can download a trial version and work with it to create your world.


MED Is to build your models.

So basically if u want to make a game, u can download free models. But u will need WED and SED. And WED to have full version u need to purchase it.

wed is not necessary.

lite-c can develop a game.

i have downloaded the trial versio of wed but why is that whenever i run it it prompts "trial expires". haaay,. what seems to be the reason? ahmm.. can you also give an advice step by step on the process in developing games?. i have created the model then what will i do next?

you need to create a level. (either in wed, or by script)

by script:
make a terrain in med and load it as level using level_load("myterrain.hmp");

then you have a level.

again assuming that you dont use wed. You need to load models by script(create entities)
ent_create("mymodel.mdl",position vector,function);

then you have model loaded.

ok. thanx ahmm... i have read the tutorial and workshop but some of the sample there is in wed,. so i cant see the output. thank you,. other thing, how do i change the interface like example the main menu, if i click the play game, how do i go to other interface or form?.
