It is 200 less so it is indeed a great offer. You get a very intuitive modeler, a great unwrapping tool, a 3d-painting and sculpting tool. I looked at their website and found that some very skilled artists changed to Modo even if they are used to Maya and other very expensive tools. They said modo has more modeling tools better integrated. You dont need scripts and plugins for advanced tasks like in Maya. Max customers are interested in Modo because of the options of 3d-painting and sculpting and the better uv-tools.

You can also buy ZBrush, Bodypaint-3d and maybe Silo to have similar functionality. But you will pay more money then.
