hi i have just reopened 3dgs after a long wile and restarted my projekt where i left it but thought it would be a nice tuche to add some normalmapping to the level blocks and models.
since i used to base it on the sphere2 engine i got all my models mapped and ready but:) as allways i got a lot of errors when starting the test level whit some normalmap shaders i downloaded.
so if anybody got a god link to a tutorial on adding normalmaps to levelblocks please point the way (that goes for models also).
ps : i found what looks like the answere to this question but in german so please reply in english couse my german is non existing.

hey

that's something I'm trying to do aswell.
I can get normalmapping to work on models by adding a second skin with the normalmap and using the code from the shader workshop. But I don't know about level blocks.

But I speak german. If you can give me the link to the german tutorial I can try to get it work and translate it for you.

Are you looking for this? http://manual.conitec.net/WED_shaderguide.htm

You need A7 though, it won't work with A6.

Thank petra that was great i will just continue making the levels to finish my project and make normalmaps for all textures i use and when i got the time and money i will update to A7 and just replace the wad files i used..
should work great as will not added enemys or models until i get intens illusion´s software.
would be best too finish the basic levels first then update and add nm and ai at the end stage of development..
