well i dont know which brands available at your current location but for here thermaltake, lian-li and coolermaster makes nice cases. i personally dont like coolermaster. my current case is Lian-li pc fb 007 plus II(possibly an outdated model, you may not find this) lian-li even makes xbpx360 cases for heat problem of the console ^^ some random australian shopping sites:(they seem to have all 3 brands) http://www.myshopping.com.au/PT--67_Computer_Caseshttp://au.shopping.com/xDN-pc_cases-buy_pc_case~LO-1~FD-0~CR-1

hey guys, thanks; i've bought a Thermaltake V9 on eBay. it seems pretty cool. it's not too big (i had no idea my current set-up was only a mid-tower), it's quite cheap, and looks like it'll solve my cooling problems.
thanks again guys,
julz
PS: had a second like at Michael Schwarz's post; lol! alright, maybe that'll keep me going until my case comes in (i'm hesitant to play games at these temperatures, just in case it is pure luck that i haven't fried anything yet).

i had forgotten which one i actually bought :P i actually bought the M9, which came in today, and i set it up with no dramas at all. it came with a new PSU, and that extra power let me put in another hdd i had lying around and it means my graphics tablet isn't giving me any trouble (used to drop out due to insufficient power). most components of my computer run much cooler now, according to SpeedFan, but my CPU still runs at ~79C, my GPU is at 55C and still has a flame icon next to it, and the Core is down to 55C and has a flame icon next to it. i have no idea what i have to do now. it all feels much cooler from the outside, and i can feel warm air being exhausted. i don't want to cook my computer. i'm lost julz

we vacuumed dust out of the fan and the CPU now runs ~59C i reckon that's acceptable! julz EDIT: except that during a decent game it works its way up to ~75C and then kills itself NOT SOLVED.

you are using stock fan of the cpu?
maybe fan is not placed properly.
also you can try some thermal paste,(Arctic Silver 5 is most widely used and known to be good.)
you can google for "how to use it".

dad reckons we could probably have done a better job cleaning it.
i am using the stock fan on the CPU. i'll try thermal paste if need be, but given the conditions my computer's now in it shouldn't be overheating.
anyway i've been put out of a good mood now.
