Don't want to go into detail about the game except that the game play is some what like x-com with alot of ideas I always wished they would of added. One of my all time favorite games.

Here are some screens of one of the solders. One image shows the solider with just a basic uniform and I am modeling all the extras like armor, nods, pistol belt and such as separate models that can be added to the model while you play.

The gun is ok but I will probably go back and add more detail on it even though its an isometric game. The screens are within the animation program I use but I added the model into WED and looks exactly the same.







Threw in a old ship design may or may not use it



I hope to be posting some screens of the game in a week or two. I am building my game in phases, and I am about at 40% of phase one.

Cool I like the models this far
BUT I think their arms are way too short and way to think and I would add some details to the t-shirt given to the soldier in the second picture. Now it just looks like a black boody with a white tatoo if you know what I mean.

very nice models. you might also add a little bit more polygons to the soldier model cause his arms are not looking nice, also the legs. smooth it a bit

Thanks. Now that you mention ot the arms are a bit off and could use some more work. I may have rushed it abit. That's great u two pointed those things out, I think I will go back and redo it and add a lot more detail, will poat new shots when done.

cant you just use "smooth" in maya? or it will mess up your textures?

Looks ok , the arms seem to be pretty messed up, one tip if you show your models especialy complete bodies try to pose them and not just show them in a t-pose. If these are all quads you could make a high res version for the normalmap in Zbrush, Mudbox aso. these would add alot to the currently very basic textures.

You should also think about rendering theme with some dramatic lighting and even some photoshop on top of the rendering for showcase.

I did the textures ar 512 x 512 and had trouble texturing it. did realize to later to make the document 3 times the size to start texturing it and resize it when finished. I rigged it to see of it moves but havnt weighted it yet that's why I didn't show any poses. Your right though a pose always looks better than a t pose. That's wher I am at as far as modeling and have been working in the codeing end so when I go back to modeling I know what needs fixing.

you can smooth the mesh with mesh smooth and still retain the textures. I only mesh smoothed the face.

Cool Models, but increase the polygons in the arm, the leg looks okay.

the leg is not okay too, look better, you can see the actual polygons. increase polygons everywhere except on the head, it looks kinda good
