Well yeah, but it has little to do with people not wanting more realism. The Wii costs a lot less, people will be more tempted to buy cheaper machines.

At least until Microsoft dropped the price of their cheapest Xbox360 wanting to compete with even the Wii, the Wii had the budget area of the market (read:casual market) covered.

In the end, different people buy different consoles. But seeing how the latest graphics cards still get their fair share of sales, I don't see how a popular cheap console is prove for a 'graphics are good enough' statement from the masses. :P

You know, for what it's worth, I don't think Wii Sports and the Mii people look 'good enough' at all. They maybe were never meant to be though, for obvious reasons,
