lol i know its isnt a guarantee but i guess its better than all of the models we create.

you can use mesh tester to see which part of the model is open.

btw that model is open too:



go med vertex mode and tools->mesh tester

it will select vertices of the open part.

And its actually a simple fix most of the time, Vertex Mode -> Select All -> Merge, unless you have really huge gaps.

i conclude that the shadow mapping can determine if the lights you placed have a good range to blend the perfect shadow. that's all!!
