Well, not everyone has a recovery specialist around the corner,
there're just a little bunch of companies doing a real good job
in this area so sending might be worth the issue. wink
But nevermind, Seagate will just flash something on the controller
and wont touch the disks itself.

But you try to do this by yourself, just plug in the hdds, run the update tool,
(you can find it in the officiual Seagate forum) and try to flash it.

This worked for almost half of the users who are affected.
