Hello,

I teach a class on making models for games. I have a city level which I added to the carlevel that comes with A7. Anyway, one of my assignments involves each student getting a city block to develop as they see fit. Now each student get their own .wmb file and develops their block then after they build, they run the main game and their block is automatically updated in the main map as a map entity. (or at least that is how I have it set up now.)

The problem I have is that the map entities only display WED objects and not custom models. I am trying to figure out how to do that but no luck so far. The project begins in 3 days and I do not have it working yet. Can anyone help me?

I'm not sure that helps, try to set this before the level_load:
map_subents = 0;

Thank you Widi for your response. My friend Aris found a solution to the problem. By importing your mdl files into the module wmb file and build it, when it is called by a map entity, the mdls appear!

I am very happy this worked! My students on the other hand may not share my enthusiasm.:)
