what i dont understand is why everyone is telling him to buy a new pc, instead of build a new one. much cheaper that way.
You're right, I would totally recommend building one from scratch as well. In the best case scenario the store where you select all the parts would assemble it as well, install drivers and OS and you're done for way less than a new PC.
For me personal there are a few companies I would never buy a PC from, like Dell.
