it has the color of the texture! use fillmode=2 for lines and 1 for dots

wow, that was fast! So there's no way to force it to be of, say, white color? It's hard to see the mesh when the texture is dark and so are dark models around...

of course you can set the white color in the pixelshader or vertexshader by moving the appreciated values to oD0(vertexshader) or r0 (PixelShader)
yep, too fast. the materialsettings do it, too
