Ad screens ingame sounds a lot like ads during gameplay to me though.

I heard they are going to ask minimal fees for private servers.. everything else is ad supported. I hope they won't fall for the big huge ingame ads stuff though, Quake 3 Arena should be without ads, even if you call it Quake Live instead.
