It would be nice if you implement a way for us extra users to use some shaders, for example water shaders or something, as we are limited alot if we can't afford the upgrade.
Also if we can use a shader we can then see if we want the upgrade for shaders.

But why would you upgrade without testing the features  People play a demo then some go to purchase the goods, but us extra users can't use shaders at all and therefore don't have the oppurtunity to try them out and see if we want to be able to use them fully

should be, but i still think limited capability should be allowed for extra, like the multiplayer is (or is that commercial ? )

but as ello said, the main diffrence between extra and comm is shaders, in fact nearly the only important diffrence, if shaders were supported on extra noone would buy comm.???
yeah multiplayer is a diffrence too but, there is anet,enet and such. No one really uses native mp.

Yeah but a taster of shaders in extra would be nice, for example (as i said previously) if extra users could use a shader (one!, :D) then we would get a taster of whether we want it or not, and also would give us a chance to mess around with shaders and see if we want to upgrade to comm to get full shader support Dunno if that makes sense

Extra users having "limited" access to shaders may give them the taste they need to get them hooked enough to fork out for commercial.

But why would you upgrade without testing the features  If you want to test shaders, you could simply go to the download page and get the shaderviewer. It allows you to load external shaders and models (try to use shaders from the wiki or write your own) -- slacer
