It seems like it's just rewriting all the indices in the array with the last string that is read, but incrementing the "count" variable should prevent this, right??

Oh f*** me. Sorry, been working on this for 3 hours straight.

Apparently this is not valid ever, or just buggy:

(dialog_file.pstring)[pos] = test_str;


Instead of directly assigning, use str_cpy:

Code:
str_cpy( (dialog_file.pstring)[count], test_str);


*sigh*
