So I'm still trying to figure out the bare basics of making a game, but there's one strange problem in my way...

My character model is partially transparent on certain segments. It's as though his normals are flipped, but they're all fine... Here's a pic:

Hi!

Here's a suggestion.

Make a copy of your model.
In the MED copy, select the blue part over the foot or the back of the head
and in the editor use the fill selected triangles. This will change the colors
of all the parts that you have chosen. This way you will be able to
evaluate your skin.

I believe that your selection of the parts is not exactly what you intended.

your skin probably has an alpha map. You can export the skin as a bitmap and set the bitmap to the skin and you have to look whether there is an alpha set in the skin settings.

Thanks to your help, I found the problem. Since my model didn't have a skin listed in the properties (it was straight from import), the engine read the model wrong.
