You cant use a speedtree file in 3dgs unless you buy a speedtree license and then know how to write the code to intergrate it into the acknex engine. I know that it has been done but its something for a skilled programmer. GS out.

Even if you have the spt files and access to the data, it makes no difference. You need the license and official libraries and write wrapper plugin to integrate it into gamestudio.

I'm sorry if it sounds rude, but if you have to ask how you use something that costs ten times my monthly pay, you should forget it.

Use some loopix trees and get you some code to make them sway. Those resources are free, and they look really good. Speedtree is very limiting in the fact that you cannot alter the trees very much at all. The trees themselves are good but I have seen tree models just as good in many games. If you or someone you know can model you could make better trees, cause with speedtree your paying more for the cool code than you are for their tree library. GS out.

I created this post is not for the fact that know how much it costs to license.
Thank you very much, I now know all of the licenses SpeedTree. But there was not one word about how to use the format file spt projects 3DGS.
If you had the experience, please tell me how to use the files spt (SpeedTree) in projects 3DGS.

Heres a word for you about spt, you cannot use spt files with 3dgs unless you have a coder who can write the intergration for you. spt files are native to speedtree cad which is a stand alone application that you use to modify the tree assets you get with speedtree. There are exporters for Max and Maya for leaf meshes and for forest creation but thats really of no use to you unless your engine can support speedtree. So in short I cant tell you how its done, but I can tell you that you need a skilled coder to do it.
Now on a personal note there are some great trees in the speedtree package but I think that there are artists who could create better trees and also make them sway and so forth. Getting speedtree for making huge forests would be the only reason I would ever get it. Other than that I dont see the need because everything that it does can be done with the engine now. Of course you would have to write code for that but I think most game engines could handle what speedtree does. GS out.
