How to use vec_for_vertex WED?

I've tried it, for example: vec_for_vertex(my.x, draaischijf, 6094);

I can't assign anything to 'draaischijf' cause it doesn't know who the 'draaischijf' is, as I placed the entitys myself within WED... or should I use some other code / way?
