Hello.....
First off I would like to say thank you to anyone who is reading this post. As I do not want to waste anyone's time, I am gonna say this up front, I am a currently un-employed game designer, and have no money so anyone looking for some cash up front, as much as I would like to hire ya, I am broke as most of my country and do not want to waste your time, so please do not waste mine...Now that is out of the way...

I will first tell you a little about the project I am seeking help on
Aion is a 3d role playing game designed in 3dgs (3D Game Studio). The idea is the user will select one of the pre-generated characters and be thrust into a world that is built a new every time a new game is started. The player character will have a primary ambition or goal that he/she would want to do before they retire or die, as well as quarks and fears that will lend credibility to the reality of the character. Dynamic Cut Scenes will be used to draw the player into the characters life, and to create a connection with the player as well as fill in back story. The world itself will be a living breathing entity, with free non-linear exploration. Each city will have its own problems to solve, and different ways of how to solve them depending on how the player wishes to. Characters will age in the game as well to show the passing of time, and be able to build relationships with the NPC's and any party members they shall join up with them along the way. How you treat people will effect greatly on the story and game play.A realistic approach to Law and Chaos will be interacted, where players choices will effect how they are seen, not a pre-determined alignment.

I am now looking for a team to help me bring this vision to life. Before you think this is another fly by the night project that will vanish tomorrow, I have been working on its concept in my head for a few years, and drafting out ideas on how I would want this game to feel, sound, unique features, and I am currently working on the tec doc, and jotting all my ideas down to discuss with anyone who would like to design or have part in designing a game with potential commercial release, but more for the fun and love of it, as well as tired of being sold out of features that in my thought should be in any decent RPG but as to this point only been half way implemented or skipped over entirely due to the constraint of company time-lines and such. Not don't get me wrong I have a time line in mind I would like to see this project finished, but also understand some of you have to work for a living and can not spend all day nor would you want to working on this project.

I am looking for a few more people to fill out my team in various area's that include

3D Prop Models (Must be able to Skin)

LiteC Programer (Just to back me up wit code and write small functions and routines)

C# or C+ programmer for Dll's for certain features needed.

If the basic idea has captured your attention and you would like to learn more or ask me questions I would like to talk to you....

Thanks for giving me some time to address this, and again I know some of you are scuffing at this because I have no money to pay, or the idea in itself dose not hit you...That is fine, again I thank you for your time, and wish you luck in finding something that suits you....

you can email me at lostzac@sbcglobal.net for questions.

well, i understand where ur coming from, i myself wouldnt call myself a good game programmer but i'd like to think i'm a good game 'designer', i've written design docs before... i'd be willing to play a part in its design but will not be able to place alot of time on it... pm me and we'll see how far this can go...

-minor question am sure everyone here would like to kno are:

how long have u been with 3dgs?
what are ur skills? modelling? scripting? etc?
am sure others will ask more questions, good luck with this smile....

ps... i get critical sometimes and if i think a game idea will fail i wont work on it, especially if the author of said idea isnt willing to reason and make changes...

dark out.

Thanks for the interest and any help is good help...
I pmed you , and have been working with the engine since a5 but only hobby until Office Purks which was the a6 (sold about 2000 copies which i was thrilled by as the first commercial release I worked on) and currently been just seeing how far I could push this engine....

I have no model skills, but am a armature texture artist, not good enough to post it on my Resume though.

I would say my strongest skill next to programming is Management as I have worked as a Manager at several places of employment through the years, and problem solving.
