@KiwiBoy:
I'm not sure what you mean with "side venture". Profits should be the main goal. A perfect example are the games from Motion Twin. They've got an ingenious tactic. Their game "myminicity" draws players from all over the internet. Those players are then drawn to the other games they present through banners, which they'll start playing, and eventually pay for. Not even forced, e.g. for continue to play. Players can play along without paying, but paying 5, 10 or 15 euro would just vastly increase progression. It's not a whole lot, so you're easily pursued by paying at least once. and there are many means of paying (texting through mobile phone, paypal, creditcard). Especially the texting option seems to be very popular. I found myself victim of one of their games as well for a long time grin. I'm by far not the only one.

That's just a tiny example in the grand tree of possibilities. Well working for a company like motion-twin, who's making and deploying many games simultaneously. They rely on a stable source of newcommers through one specific game (though this example is a little outdated, it's how they mainly started. Nowadays they have many sources). I'm hoping to find a really nice way to keep continuously "selling" my specific game that will not have a bottomless source with people like "myminicity".

Thanks for your offer to dig into it. I appreciate your input, but as you say yourself that you have little experience, I can not offer a solid price. I am entirely unsure of what you will deliver to me. And in the case you had in mind to do this for free, I do insist that you get payed some amount if your findings are interesting. Perhaps you can do me an offer when you're finished before delivering, of what you think it's worth. Surely we can work it out.
