Hi,

I want to make a multiplayer FPS game and I want that it can be played online.
I want it so: Like in every known online game, when you start the game you see a list of open games and then you choose one of them and join it.

After I read some posts in this forum, I'm not sure what I need for that. Currently I have A7 Commercial and I would buy the ANet-Plugin if there's no other easy way and when I have to learn a bit of html or PHP or anything like that, it would not be a big problem, but when there is an other way, please tell me wink

Maybe I should add something: I don't want to make a high qulality game or a big game like CS, i only want that you can play online...
And I don't want to make money with that wink

Ok, after scan and skim the AUMs 76-79, I see what I already did, There's only a describtion how to write some simple multiplayer game. But he doesn't describe how to play online with that script.

As an Network plugin you can use GSTNet instead of Anet. its Free and also based on enet.

For an online serverlist, you have two ways:

Get mysql server(you get a free one when registering a domain on evilhosting.org. everything is free) or use php.

first of all, for how long have you been working in lite-c/c-script?

if you're a beginner, please, dont even try to look at the multiplayer code!

At Rackscha: I will check out GStNet, thanks.

At cerberi_croman: I am a beginner in gamestudio but not a beginner in C so the programming isn't the problem for me wink I already tried a look at the multiplayer code and i already made a very simple multiplayer game but it only runs on my pc, i didn't test lan yet.

if you think you're ready, then who am i to stop. good luck...

all you need is A7(litec/cscript), free or any other version and i'd suggest ANet. you dont need to buy it immediately, try it, use all features you can and then if you like it and you need more features, then you go and buy it.

oh and a...you'll need a lot of time, good nerves and concentration smile

if i forgot something, you all, fill me in...
