today i would like to introduce my new project www.galaxytrader.de. The game is intended to mix elements of the great "freelancer" with parts of the "X-Series" and will combine fighting, trading, missions and story parts.

It was a hard decission to pause my other project (www.darkmountain.de) but creating a role play game as a one person team is nearly impossible while getting a space game done is much easier.

The screens and the movie show the current project stage which is absolutely focused on the gameplay and mechanics while the graphic effects must be enhanced in a later step (e.g. use of shaders).

But even a space game is still a lot of work and therefore i would ask for help in the following areas:

- explosion particle effect
- laser beam effect
- hitting shield effect
- particle? effect for the express travel

any help would be highly appreciated.
