EDIT: darkinferno, you'll love my game... I just implemented the minigun yyou sent me (more or less, it doesn't shoot yet)

Gotta have Zombies! More Zombies! Zombies-zombies! Alien-zombies! Mechano-zombies! Nazi-zombies! SurferDude-zombies! CheerLeader-zombies!
Your game has shadows? Put zombies in em! Your game has water? Put zombies under it! Your game has a player? Put zombies behind him!
[Deep Breath}[Deep Breath}... Sorry, maybe not THAT many zombies, but zombies are a great source of primal fear and disgust.
I really like the concept becoming more prevalent in movies these days, FAST zombies! I havent seen them much in games yet, but theres room there for them.

Many of you sound like if Zombies are a race close to extinction.
But it is the other way around. We are flooded with too much Zombies in almost every game (FEAR, Doom3, HL2, the Quake-series, Left For Dead, Dead Space and much more).
This is nothing new and will not get an innovation price especially from game magazines. Nevertheless I am looking forward to your progress.
@Frank... ...but Zombies are like star wars. The good and the bad are clearly defined. And this is the reason why games with zombies, werewolfs, vampires, the peronal evil always works. You simply can´t get enough from the question ... how can you kill somebody who is already dead. It is strange to shoot on soldiers in cod, but it is mysterious to shot on something which humanity can´t explain. This is the stuff since the beginning of mankind. The fear of the dark, the fear of the dead, fear of hell, fear of pain... suffering... death.
...fight your inner fear... in games... with balls and great weapons. This is legal and wanted.
Yes, I agree. Following this logic it must be really hard to fight against something so mystic, unstoppable and undead. A boss enemy could be like that. But the usual cannon fodder should be something more simple then.
vegetarian zombies! "need more toooofuuuuu...argh!!!"
love em. will always love em. and killing them will make me feel alive.
maybe we like killing them because they remind us about our brainless dayjob coworkers
but frank is right. they are by far not new or having a comeback. wanna talk to onc? just call a support hotline of your choice. but in game they just add this creapy mass effect. this whole horde of enemies attacking you. you feel surrounded, you have to run and shot and kick into any direction.
it just pushed your adrenaline level way up high whenever you see a bunch of them.
