I don´t know who of you knows the Rpg-makers from Enterbrain/Ascii.

The newer one use RGSS and RGSS2..

But Rpg maker 95-Rpg maker 2003 used Eventcoding only..

Eventcoding:
The makers have a menü, wich shows different Coding-Makros. If you click on one, you can setup it and it´ll be added to the eventcoding list.
Ingame, this codes will be worked through from top to the bottom.

Means: Scripting by clicking Buttons ^^

My question now: Is there any chance to get this with 3DGS too?
And what do you think how?

Weird. I tried RPG Maker VX (The latest version) and i didn't found anything related to RGSS. Personally i don't like RPG Maker, but i don't hate it. The most favorite version for me is RPG Maker 2000, and Don Miguel's demo. grin
About eventcoding: Gamestudio has 100 times more features than RPG Maker, and if Conitec would put them as buttons, they'll waste thier time because the user will be confused about the commands.

BUT, Gamestudio has something better than that, the manual, and the help bar in the bottom. I'm in love with the help bar .

no.. it´s not conitec who need to make buttons there..

I ask if there´s a way for me to code those things..

I made a map editor like rpg-maker
a database like rpg-maker
eventplacement like Rm
..etc..

But eventcoding.. no idea how to do that..
Eventcoding is the only thing i need...

Then no body can make those except Conitec. Becuase they'll need to edit the editor. wink

XD..

I think you didn´t get it..

I need ideas, on how to script an eventcoding-thingy, for my ingame editor...
Not for en extern editor like WED, SED..etc..

Start game
=> type in "editorstart = 1"
=> Editor starts for editing maps, placing events..etc.. INGAME

I wanted to ask if a thing like Eventcoding is possible with this...

I don't know, but i believe that you have to use WinAPI.

Multimedia Fusion uses event coding only, and you don't see a single line of code. Only expressions and calculations within events that runs in sequence within objects, while objects are handled in parallel (simultaneously).

I think it's very well possible to code such a system in Lite-c, but it'll take a lot of time to set up a proper user interface.

I use RPG-Maker XP actively, and have VX lying somewhere.

One doesn't need to create scripts (I use AMS only), but use events. They're the main engine of the thing anyways.

Scripts are for more advanced features you don't need until you are making complex games with complex stuff and XP/VX do not support them. (No I'm not talking about forcing it to rendere 3D).

RmXP is able to render 3D.. "The Corps" is the name of the game.. looks like the old Doom ^^

I work with RmXP actively too... But need eventcoding in my own editor ^^
