Wut, my Asus was broken (ventilation went mad, temperature sensor in CPU was probably broken), and I had it back within 3 days! Asus support is splendid most of the time, from what I hear of people around me.
Yeah, they did so the first time too, so I got very excited too thinking their support was the bomb, but they apparently
forgot to fix it.
So I had to send it back again within one freaking week. Now, two months later, finally got it back.. with a letter saying 'they think it's not broken' and I still have the same issue.
I'm going to stick with Asus for sure though as their hardware is excellent when it's not broken. :p
