I've done a lot of work since the last time I posted about this project, including refinements to character movement and animation as well as camera movement.

I also have improved on the design of the first level, which can be seen in the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFLSDNVuBEI

My next goal is to make an intro/tutorial level that teaches the controls and helps set up the plot. After that I am going to begin recording the music tracks I've written to replace the Metroid/Kirby/Final Fantasy music I've been using! laugh

Yes, I am planning to implement simple obstacle-avoidance AI to make the camera follow Supercat more smoothly without flying through walls (if it doesn't have to). I'm hoping to achieve cinematic-style camera angles while maintaining user control over the view; like what Super Mario 64 would be if translated to WASD + Mouse controls!

The robot movement is a bit too natural I guess... Theyre suppossed to be more awkward in my opinion

For the camera i meant, to avoid the FPS camera and make a fast progressive acceleration when it rotates, not a direct rotation at key press.

Well for the robot it's movement is not smooth , so yes it is more mechanical and not natural at all already.
But they are robots like cyborgs that moves anutrally also smile

My next goals are to write the code necessary to have cutscenes (rendered in the engine, not as a video file) and then to make a tutorial level.

Once I do these I'll upload a demo version; hopefully I'll have time to do it this week! laugh
