i've done this exact same idea, though my menu height was the same size of the screen.

if yours is too (hopefully) just make the credits: 900 Lifes:50 part a seperate panel, and place that 1 layer higher than the buttons

if not, then you'll need something a lot more technical

HAHA I got an idea while writing this post! =D
I make the stastistik part in an extra panel how you said. And in order that the buttons don't move outside the menue, I make them invisible when they are completely behind the statistik panel. And on the bottom I make the menue panel bigger or add some buttons or something and make the same there.
