So I just spent an entire day confirming that exporting multiple models from WED to MED (or from WED to an external format) doesn't work very well.

What I'm trying to do is to select multiple models in WED, and then export them to MDL format and open them in MED as one single model. If I try to view the new model in MED, I keep getting ">64k faces" errors and the model fails to preview. If I export to any format whatsoever, all the texture data seems to get either lost or corrupted, and I can not get the model intact into Blender (just the actual vertices and faces--not the texture info).

To explain why I'm doing this: I have a large level with many models in it that I am trying to port over to Blender (for the purposes of a large scene render). I spent a lot of time positioning all my models in WED already--I really DON'T want to have to import and re-position them all again in Blender, so I'm trying to "export" them out as a single model that I can then import into Blender.

I suppose what I'm trying to do is unrealistic given WED/MED limitations? Anyone? After trying all the different file formats for export, and multiple conversion programs, and single and multiple models export attempts, the problem appears to be on the WED/MED side of things in terms of exporting; the rest of the pipeline is working fine for getting single models (or even just WED blocks) into Blender.

Help?
