Well , if you can't afford it , try 3D Coat, that have Voxel sculpting, and incredibly lot of features to sculpt, paint and have perhaps best retopology tools than ZBrush.

Well Next Gen graphics means : lot more details on models, but with tools like 3D Coat , ZBrush, you can add amazing complexity and amount of details on your models in no time

I find Zbrush too expensive, specially for indies or hobby people not sure to publish a game at the end
It looks more toward professionnals , but if you have the cash :), why not buy it !
