Amazing. It looks like building up clay (or muscles and skin) over a wire armature (skeleton). And re-posing looks very easy plus it deforms very naturally without any weighing, re-parametrization and such procedures.
This could become a very natural and artistic work-flow.

Way-cool. I wish I could afford Z-Brush! I had a go at the trial and really got into it, but changed computers only a few days in and didn't use the old one until the trial had expired.

@JulzMighty : Well , if you can't afford it , try 3D Coat, that have Voxel sculpting, and incredibly lot of features to sculpt, paint and have perhaps best retopology tools than ZBrush. Well Next Gen graphics means : lot more details on models, but with tools like 3D Coat , ZBrush, you can add amazing complexity and amount of details on your models in no time I find Zbrush too expensive, specially for indies or hobby people not sure to publish a game at the end It looks more toward professionnals , but if you have the cash :), why not buy it !

wow they intro it like a block buster movie For many people it is a block buster movie, just look into the forum. No hollywood movie could raise so much emotions from these kind of people. And to be honest: I understand their excitement.

I understand their excitementWell perhaps Zbrush people are excited only 3D Coat allow already to add volumes with Voxel scultping! what 3D Coat don't have is Z Spheres skeleton to adjust your pose. With voxels you can add volume in 3D space Voxel sculpting In fact Z Sphere 2 is really similar in some sort of voxel sculpting Like a user said in their forums, Zbrush would just need voxel sculpting also, to make it more outstanding. Z brush have been the first company to bring a totally new workflow , we can only thanks them for what they 've brought to 3D industry , and to have show at others modeling tools another possible way of creating detailled models!

As far as I understand it is different from the Voxel sculpting in 3d coat. And it makes sense. You can freely move the voxels in 3d-coat and maybe you can do it also in ZBrush, but the video showed something more artistic:
You build your skeleton from spheres like you do in the real world with some steel wire. And then you add a layer of flesh, muscles and skin with the help of this sphere. It is still attached to the wire and thus follows the skeleton. This way you can work more accurately and more similar like you do in real life if you add clay to your armature. It could result in a better workflow and better anatomy in the end. It will be the more professional tool then.
But we will see when it is done. I have a license of ZBrush and as far as I understood I will get this upgrade for free.
Nevertheless I also watch the development of 3d coat with interest. It grows fast and is a really good tool. Some beginners even like it more than ZBrush. It depends on the kind of interface they prefer.
