I dont think that the trial version contains the MED Mesh Reducer. I suppose you can see LOD steps but not generate them.

Thanks for clearing that up. I think a trail should have all functionalities. Cause the manual and the actual editor doesn't match. After all I don't think anyone will actually buy pro if they can't get familiar with them first.
