Even if there would be an open source code for something like this you wouldn't understand it as a beginner.

Start simple (and I mean really simple) and learn step by step.

In my opinion you shouldn't start by using the gs templates until you understand what each line stands for and what it is doing.

Write your own little scripts and check out how gs and games work.
