i am in need of a freeware converter that can convert mov files to flv with the resolution of 1365x768 pixels.

anyone knows one?? till now i always could use the one from koyote soft...

i would look into ffmpeg or SUPER (which is ffmpeg with a gui).

or maybe you could upload it to youtube or vimeo and once it is converted grab the flv and delete it again.

nope, i just need to convert the mov file to flv so i can play it whithin a flash projector. the quality needs to remain unchanged.

i tried super, but it doesnt get the file converted because of its resolution

koyotes doesnt support the needed resolution.

Maybe you could use .mp4 instead, there are many flash players around capable of streaming/playback flv and mp4 (JWPlayer for example)
If it needs to be flv try ffmpeg (with any gui that suits your need) for conversion.

michael, that one looks promising, at least from the outputs filesize. but the result cant be played not with the flash projector and not with vlc (video format "undf" not known)...

do you have experiences with this program and know what setting is responsible??

You could try XMedia Recode.

Upload it on Youtube as HD video
..and then use Downloadhelper to grab the flv

that one seems to be capable.. as there is an ini file to adjust possible output formats i just need to find where to set ultra high quality (but maybe flv doesnt allow such things)

most unconventional but the quality should be excellent since they support up to 1080p now and probably have tweaked their ffmpeg settings to the max
