Yeah, its a bit that way...
You've just been unfortunate that no-one has had this problem in a while,
so it wont have been easy to find posts to help you out...
To the best of my understanding, the default video drivers in MED and WED
work happily MOST of the time. But sometimes a PC's combination of windows version,
directx version, and video-card drivers make the default WED/MED drivers fail.
Then you just gotta "play" with them till you find one that suits your particular
hardware/software combination.
