The gib link is for a REALLY adavanced gibbing that isn't quite done yet, but the effects script has the best one so far! The effects script was made using A4, and will also work just the same with A5. UPDATE: I have the head shots all done except for detecting when the enemy is shot in the head, does anyone know how to tell WHERE the enemy is hit? Also the Redeemer shockwave is coming along nicly and the AI demo is, well, not done yet. -NizZy

Just one Question: I tryed your script and every time when a enemy wants to attack a Message Box opens: ------------------------------------------- |Engine malfunction W1511 X | |-------------------------------------------| |Dangerous instruction in event fight_event!| | | | --------- ---------- | | | OK | | Cancel | | | --------- ---------- | ------------------------------------------- But when i say OK all works no problems Oh and why the script wants a burn.bmp ? Theres no burn.bmp in the zip. Good old ASCII time Ghost

Why don't you try hitboxes? stick invisible cube MDLs over all the hit areas like head, arms, legs, etc using ent_vertex and then detect when the bullet hits the boxes so you know which location is hit.

Ghostface: warn_level = 2; in Nizzy's script, this means every possible problem is given in a message box. Nizzy should cahnge it into warn_level =0;. Here's what the manual says about your warning: quote:
warning w1511 - dangerous instruction in event This runtime warning message will be issued when the given event function contains bad WDL code -a forbidden instruction that changes something in the level or can trigger an event itself, like move, remove, trace, scan etc. in the first cycle of the event. Insert a wait(1) before executing such instructions in an event function. This warning is only issued if the warn_level variable is set to 2 or above.
Nizzy: I'm having headshots in my game too and I'm using no hitboxes. I determine or the enemy is hit a certain amount above his x position. If you want to know more about it, tell me.

Hey guys! My PC is screwed over ( ) so I didnt upload the new script, but I do have Internet on another PC, I have a public forum now: http://pub84.ezboard.com/ba4interactive39162 Post stuff for the script there too now, and I have a snippets and Beginner/advanced prgming. sections too! Anyone have recent Voodoo Banshee Maxi Gamer drivers (AGP) that they are using and are sure they work? (They just stopped working, dont ask me why)

It is uploaded with a demo level and individual levels including each effect isolated. The tutorial will be sent to Conitec before I post it because I have seen some copys of sections of my script posted lately with the posters claiming credit. I want to get it to conitec for them to review for a free upgrade! The 2.0 script will be HUGE with all new fresh ideas! I will post more later http://www.geocities.com/nizzycalc/resource.htm -NizZy Expect the tutorial/workshop in 1-2 days!
