When I export MDL7 model into 3DS, using MED, I basically get a raw model without textures. This is further problem when I then import that model in Blender. Is there a way to export MDL7 model together with textures and then import them both in Blender? (such that texture mapping is preserved)

why do you want to export an model from mdl7 to blender?
IMO its not really possible with textures.
Try all formats from MED and have a look...

Sometime you simply don't want to start from scratch, or you don't want to use MED for the needed modifications. wink
You can export it as fbx, convert the fbx by the free Autodesk Fbx Converter to .obj Format, which you can import in blender.

Converter appears to work excellent laugh

Thanks a lot!
