The same , with the same Drivers , Codecs , Programs. I even downloaded again "Water for all" demo and shader (by Slin) and the water in there is also just a black surface :|
I dont remember having a different version of DirectX but thats a possibility. Right now it says I have 9.0c , but I dunno if there's just a slight variation I could have had before or mine might be broken.
The only difference is that this time I didnt install GamersOSD pack. :|
I feel suicidal right now frown

*EDIT*
Forgot to mention , the terrain multi-texture is working...plus , the material for the trees (opacity or something). I have no idea why my water is black now.

I just installed the latest SDK for DirectX , I installed the latest NVidia drivers and installed Gamers OSD and the whole package. I even installed K-Lite codecs pack and Java and Flash player...Nothing changes frown Black surface on my water model.
Could my video card burn out ? This is weird frown

PS.: My CPU says its 55C hot. Dunno if thats normal , might be my video fan isnt working...I'll try to find some shader tests on the Net.

No , but I didnt update before too laugh 6.40.5...
I downloaded a few shader testers and everything shows up...only two of them slow down my FPS (but they're supposed to be for Shader Model 4.0 , I think I'm with 3...dunno).
Even viewed an online shader test with some Google API or something like that. But I doubt the problem is in the shader made by Slin. laugh I'll update to 6.60 now...

*EDIT* : Updated...Still no change. frown

*EDIT2* : Another Update...I installed .Net Framework 4.0 , Windows imaging something , PCI Bridge and SM Bus controller (for some reason they werent installing automatically) but nothing fixed the problem. AFAIK only this shader doesnt work. I tested every possible shader tester and performance testing programs , I ran every shader compilations I could find for 3DGS , everything works except the water shaders with the render2texture.dll .
Even the "Venice" water and "Shader Viewer" water showed up perfectly laugh beautiful...

Fixed bug with water shader...
On topic now... :

I just noticed it drops the FPS when I'm standing right infront of a plant , and it even stretches outside my screen. Sometimes it drops the fps when I'm pointing at the plant , so I tought my crosshair entity detection function was going slow. Gonna check that now , but I've used it many times before and I've never had problems , not to mention it was on much lower spec. PCs.
Other than that , I also removed my water model from the scene during the low FPS moment and the FPS went up. I created it again and the FPS dropped again. I'm guessing thats because of too many verts and faces , but the water model is only 28x28 verts. Maby I should keep lowering my graphics quality , but this goes beyond the expected... I tested on 640x480 and 800x600 (640 displays wrong water) and it didnt lower the FPS. Lowest was 55 wich is perfect for me.
Shouldnt my PC be able to display more polys ? And I havent even added a house and other models on the island...
