I've created a block (medium cube) and gone into Edge Move mode. In this mode the I'm supposed to see little yellow boxes on the vertices and other strategic spots. All I get is a red cube (it looks exactly the same as when you select it in Select mode). Is there a setting I can use to make it look like it it does in the Dan Silverman tutorial or is this no longer an option in A7?

I think it's in preferences,colors somewhere in there anyway.

I don't mean that the vertices aren't yellow I mean that they don't appear at all, it looks exactly the same as it does in select mode w/no difference in appearance whatsoever.

Ok I think I know what you mean. If the object you are working on is a mesh you can't manipulate edges. You need to untick concave in the objects projects and if WED canver the object to aboxthen you can select faces.

hrmm.... the object isn't a mesh.

I select the object (after creating w/ Add / Cube / Small)

Go to Mode / Edge Move

and there is then a check mark next to Edge Move (so I know it's in the correct mode)

but the vertex do not turn yellow, the object looks exactly the same as when it is normally selected, no visual change whatsoever.

I can even manipulate it like you should be able to in Edge Move mode but I can't see the vertex and there isn't a visual change so it makes it very difficult to manipulate the box.

Sorry to be a pain I just can't figure this out.

Try creating a new block and see what happens.
Also try the refresh/recreate views under GXL when you r-click in a view.
Maybe zooming in or out.
If that doesn't work than it may be a graphics problem.

you hit the nail on the head. I tried it on my desktop and it displays properly. Apparently the laptop can't handle it.

np, glad it works ok now. I also found out that if you delete the WED.CFG in the GameStudio it also resets everything, I have to do that sometimes when WED or even MED play up.
