I think it makes not much sense to set up your CRT monitor in a game, imagine you have 10 games and all would require setting up the frequency of your monitor.
as i said before alot of games allow this in thier settings,f.i doom3-quake4-far cry2.
Why dont you set this up in Windows display properties?
allot of user's doesn't know what is refresh rate or even they doesn't know how to do it in windows display properties.
