jeffmorris OP Member J Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 134	Amazon has two books on 3D Game Studio. One is "The Official Guide to 3D Game Studio" and other is "Getting started with Conitec's 3D Game Studio". Are these books good?

You can get an update for A7 (later A8) every 3. month - with new functions and improvments... The online manual or the offline one, can be updated, the book not... MarianFrische.com

But I looked into the contents and it's only about level creation with WED, scripts and real game creation are not covered, so I think it's too special.

ShivaFooL Newbie Joined: Nov 2009 Posts: 5	The Official Guide seems to lean more towards thoughtful advice to someone considering making a game to sell than useful material about using the programs. For me it has mostly been a waste of money. I have ordered the other and haven't received it yet. I'm not hopeful frankly and suspect I will still be wishing for a good book on 3dgs. The tutorials and AUM are definitely useful, and MUCH more useful than The Offiial Guide, but I too would like a book. And I don't mind that it will be quickly outdated.
