Are his eyes and teeth not connected with the rest of his polys? It looks so! Have a look into the update_readme relating 'shadow_stencil'. "The mesh has to be closed, means every edge has to have two polygons."
I would delete his eyes and such that isn't 'connected' and simply close the resulting holes with polygons.
Other thing: the right sleeve got a bright edge, this irritates a bit.
A last thing: Heather in Silent Hill2 impressed me mainly in here natural posture. I hope your protagonist runs only with a gun in this posture, otherwise it would delete completely the illusion of 'real' horror life.
Did your last pic use the the dot3 bump, or something like that? It looks magnificent, the concept art before that pic, too!
Personally, I think the egoperspective fits better to this game - it keeps you more fearful!
