If you start the engine with -diag, it creates a file named "acklog.txt". jcl wants to see these files. -diag isn't supposed to make it work, just to see what's wrong.
Thanks for the acklogs. The problem was not your firewall - I've now found that the trial version indeed did not support client/server. You really need A7 Commercial or Pro for doing Workshop 25.
In short we'll upload a new A8 trial version, 8.02. This one will support client/server and you can use it for workshop 25.
