Heya Tom,
I didn't forget about you. I was uploading a .zip to see if that would help, but a wind storm came through with about 5mb left to upload, of course (dang that Murphy and his laws), and took out my electricity for a couple days. I will try it again tonight.
Hmmm... Sjoerd, I get the feeling that you don't think he can make it through that door.

Thanks for your input, and we are aware of those problems and are will be working on them. The view distance is the only one that you mentioned which might not be changed, for FPS reasons, but we will see after I go back through the code and see how much FPS I can pull out of the magic hat.
There is about 30% of the code that has not been utilized yet also, code pertaining to things like cutscenes, path cameras, interacting with special objects/items, using items, etc, that until the demo story line is final and the new main character's animations are complete, cannot really be implemented. The story line is in no way shown in that beta, it's mainly the just the ironing out the foundation stuff.
And as a special announcement, I am going to be bringing in my English (relocated to the USA) friend who has worked on titles such as Disney's "The Lion King" and most recently those silly weather prediction programs you see on the news (which in Kansas are about 10% accurate), to help me with the programming, since he tried to retire like I did once, but he couldn't stand not being in the action. I think they call that addiction. He will be cussing at me for weeks about how it should be done.

I will try to ignore him as much as possible, but I am sure glad he is onboard. We work well together, not unlike the two kids in the backseat of the mini-van on a long trip. Fuxer will be saying, "Don't make me come back there..."
I am really considering having him do some SDK work, especially with A* pathfinding, and alot of shader work, just to get even with him on what he made me do the last time I worked for/under him.

Loco
Old Kansas saying,
"If you don't like the weather in Kansas, just wait 10 minutes because it's bound to change."
