Everyday I am uvmapping Level Geo in max ... no different then a model.... and will be less strain on the fps .... but if you guy's have it under control ... more power to you .... but from what I have seen of the kid .... everything could be done with wmp and not mdl and still be uvmapped and have a better fps result.
