Here's a demo of the movement code, comes also with .c files, and exe and a included level to test it: http://www.filefront.com/17189415/Movement_Demo.zipI mean the code itself and a demo. Just the movement code, of course. Not your whole prototype game. ready The Video looks very promissing good prototype this far. I espeacily was suprised by the Enemy looks like a sold start for the KI. Also a little bit of critic because I dont really think that this future Weapon fits to the others. Either you develop some kind of future weapon that fits the other guns or you could just use future weapons but thats up to you... Keep it going regards Aztec The idea of the game is that is in the present time, but the company doesn't have designed more than one weapon, so the other are normal weapons. That's because there are two real weapons and one sci-fi weapon. me too, i think your player movement code looks pretty solid, smooth and feels just right. The motion-blur when u look around is also very nice, the motion-blur when you shoot will probably most peoble find irritating, for me its a nice feature which will higher the tense. Stay motivated! Thanks, I think motion blur gives a point more of reality, so when you shoot because of the vibrations you can't see right the target.

Hi, Actually I've used many firearms before (handguns, shotguns, rifles) and they never blur your vision. If you want to make it more difficult to aim, you should just remove the crosshair and let us use the iron sights. Also make sure to put in good amounts of weapon recoil. Don't make it easy to control the gun like in Quake II. The recoil should be a little hard and somewhat random. Just some thoughts.

Yeah, I've yet implemented recoil with random values. But i think the blur gives it a point more of difficult, maybe only wit recoil it's too easy. I've tested removing crosshair and using a point mode with the iron sights but i didn't like too much the result.

Do you mean a point mode, something like this: when you do right-click on the mouse you activate point mode, and the weapon get's placed like this: Please people give me your opinion, if you like this more than having a croshhair I can do it

yes the point mode is good I would definitely put one. I would also leave the crosshair and only remove it when u have that point mode aiming or whatever it is called. And when you are in the point mode, make sure to make usage of the camera_arc (I believe) to zoom a little.

Test of a great floor texture with normal maps and mtl_SpecBump shader: The result is incredible, it looks like in reality, but I loose from 40 fps to 25 fps.
